Ariel

Saatchi + Saatchi/Paris commissioned Charged Studios to produce and design a whimsical yet sophisticated animated spot for Europe and Latin America’s leading cold water laundry detergent, Ariel.

To illustrate the power of cold we created a scenario that pitted a stain — in the form of a vibrant red anthropomorphic character sculpted out of clay — against a winter blizzard of arctic proportions. Our artists fabricated a set out of pure white linen and cotton balls, and devised an innovative apparatus to simulate a series of natural disasters – from avalanches, and gale force winds, to ice cracking under the weight of our little red friend. The once robust stain proves no match for the power of cold, which ultimately obliterates every trace of him.
